The Internet has changed us in unimaginable ways. Being free, democratic, and unrestricted in essence, the Internet creates a wealth of opportunities for everyone by providing a truly global platform to showcase skills or talents.
Realizing the actual potential of the Internet, more specifically the digital media, FremantleMedia has partnered with ZengaTV and OneDigital Entertainment to launch the first global digital talent show by the name of India's Digital Superstar (see www.Indiasdigitalsuperstar.com, www.youtube.com/c/IndiasDigitalSuperstar, and www.zengatv.com/Indiasdigitalsuperstar).
If you are a musician, DJ, mimicry artist, comedian, dancer, juggler, singer, contortionist, or acro gymnast, this show can be your instant ticket to fame. Age and gender doesn't matter. You could be based anywhere in the world and become India's Digital Superstar. The only precondition is that you must be an Indian.
India's Digital Superstar is presented by Amazon.in and powered by Gionee in partnership with Red FM.
The auditions are underway and will culminate with a grand finale in May this year. The 14-week epic journey that started on January 19 will ultimately prove to be lucky for one winner who will be handed over a contract worth INR 20 lakhs from FremantleMedia and One Digital.
So what are you waiting for? Grab your smartphone or video camera, make a fresh video, and upload it until a week before the finale night to be held in Mumbai. You can upload multiple videos of any talent you wish to showcase on the specified website or through their app - from the comfort of your home, office, bathroom, garden, etc. The last date to upload your videos is April 25, 2015.
Need some tips? Here's one of my favorite videos.
The host, Sahil Khattar, only comes online thrice a week, that is, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Such is the popularity of the show that if you take into account the cumulative views and likes, India's Digital Superstar has already received more than a million in less than a month.
Forget the long queues, the mad rush to reach audition venues at allocated times, or the need to knock on anyone's door. India's Digital Superstar creates a level playing field for Indians all over the world to showcase their talent. This first of its kind digital talent hunt will be judged by YOU, that's right, the audience. Only you have the power to decide who will be the next big digital star. What matters is the number of views and likes across YouTube, ZengaTV, and Facebook.
Get ready to be mentored by the likes of Sunny Leone, Anu Malik, Vishal Dadlani, Salim Merchant, Jazzy B, Andy, Raftaar, and Anubhav Sinha. Can it get any bigger?
So gear up for non-stop auditions, 24*7 content, endless opportunities, and unlimited fun. The competition literally never stops on this show.
