2015 has
been a very special year for the Prabhakar household kids - Rishab (7) and
Saanvi (3). At the start of the year, both the children enjoyed their first
outing in a passenger train to Luni, a cloistered village near Jodhpur,
Rajasthan. Visiting Luni was a revelation of sorts; the children stayed at the Fort Chanwa and mingled with
the local artisans, most of whom are still pursuing the ancestral traditions of
carving metals, clay, or wood in different intricate forms. Just a couple of
months later, the kids made another trip to Amritsar, a bustling city in the
north-western Indian state of Punjab. They visited the gilded Golden Temple,
the holiest gurdwara in India that attracts more visitors than the ever so
popular Taj Mahal.
Memories
like these stay forever etched in the minds of these tiny toddlers. And to help
them relive the cherished time again, me and Sadhna decided to do something really
exciting this time of the year, leveraging our new home printer from HP India. The

The idea
behind creating personalized memorabilia and greetings was to make our kids
aware about an important life lesson.
It's the people you meet along the way and the magic you create with them that leave the maximum impact in our lives.
Also, in this age of technological dependence, the kids need to learn the
importance of staying true to their roots rather than relying on smart devices or
other gizmos.

Since the New Year is fast approaching, creating customized greeting cards for loved ones
seemed timely as well as logical. Sending these cards via snail mail would only
up the ante we thought. No emails or SMSes this time. We also wanted the kids
to realize how the old school charm of sending greetings via snail mail still
has a place in this world today.
We've also
planned a small get-together on the New Year's Eve. To create the perfect
ambiance for a cozy soiree, we printed templates of wall hangings and fliers
using our new HP home printer.

Sadhna is in
the process of creating handmade return gifts for guests, like a personalized greeting card with heartfelt message and an envelope that showcases the Chinese Lunar Year (for our friends in Korea).

Designing a New Year Calendar with a cute message
was solely my idea that has worked perfectly! While gifting, I’ll urge everyone

commemorate the year gone by and to applaud the achievements of our little

year.
