In this blog post, I review a new casual dining restaurant in the heart of DLF CyberHub Gurgaon called Pier 38 – Bar & Kitchen.
If you're looking for authentic Lebanese, Persian or Arabic fare, Pier 38 is the place to be!
The elaborate menu has plenty to offer in terms of flavors and textures; choose from an array of Middle Eastern dishes, be it the fresh salads like Fattoush/Tabbouleh, hot/cold Mezze, Koobideh wraps, Pita pockets, etc.
The Persian BBQ dishes, in particular, are to die for! Another recommendation would be the hot Turkish pides (a. k. a. the Turkish pizzas).
Seeking the perfect Desi grub to complement your drinks? A selection of choicest Indian starters is also available just in case.
The Arabic main course is designed to delight your senses with a variety of assorted breads like the Khubus, Afghani naan, Pita, and Lavash.
The restaurant also offers the best of eclectic nightlife experience; in fact, the fun starts right at the Cocktail Bar which houses an entire range of signature drinks.
My recommendation would be the Watermelon Daiquiri Sangria, prepared with fresh watermelon pulp and classic white wine. The tangy yet sweet taste of the sangria manages to hit the right notes on your taste buds.
La Orange Cosmo is meant for the connoisseurs of taste; subtly smokey with the freshness of muddled orange and orange zest. If you're a sucker for Old Monk, go for the Apple Haze. This one is a must have!
Tequila Coffee, as the name suggests, is absolutely soothing for this wintery season. For the teetotalers, the chutney mocktail and the KitKat shake rate high on the priority list!
The decor at Pier 38 is chic and contemporary, drawing inspiration from an actual pleasure pier. Al fresco dining is an option too in case temperatures and weather are the most favorable.
Suffice to say, Pier 38 succeeds in bringing the flavors of Persia and the Arab world to the discerning foodies of Gurgaon!
