In this blog post, I review a new boutique club called BED, located in the busy N Block market of Greater Kailash 1 Delhi.
The brainchild of popular restaurateurs Prateek Nagpal and Shitij Malhotra, BED is an acronym for Beverage, Entertainment, and Dining that spans across two floors (right above DAO) and 3600 square feet in covered area.
BED is the perfect place to party and let your hair down, impressing you from the word go! In fact, it is one of those few cafes in the capital that distinguishes itself by the fineness of its world cuisine.
Be it European or Pan Asian, the food at BED is absolutely top-notch, destined to suit the palettes of all discerning food lovers.
Here's what you can truly expect.
All-day dining options at BED include an array of delicious soups, salads, appetizers, and mains. My favorite signature dishes are:
Salads
Prawn Ceviche Salad
Like me, if you're also a sucker for fresh water prawns, this salad will totally win you over. Beautifully complimented with Leche de Tigre (a.k.a. tiger's milk) and guacamole (an avocado-based dip).
Salmon Tartare
This elegant dish is delightfully made of Norwegian fresh and smoked salmon, mascarpone, and Keta caviar (a.k.a. ikura in Japanese).
Grills and Roasts
Bacon Wrapped Chicken
Who doesn't like the Bacon wrapped chicken with mushroom sauce and garden veggies! A sure-fire way to impress foodies like me.
Tandoori Lamb Shoulder
This char grilled tandoori lamb shoulder contains chef special spices with Piper cubeba (a.k.a. Java pepper).
Camaron De Tiger
This jumbo prawn is literally to die for! Served best with spaghetti vegetables and Peruvian chili.
Appetizers
Pork Ribs
Without a doubt, the best dark rum and chili sauce pork ribs that I have tasted in a long time. Best served with pickled cabbage.
Bar Bites
Crispy Calamari
What's summer without some crispy calamari, made with 12 spices and sriracha tartar!
Phyllo Cup
Flaky, crispy cup made of phyllo dough; contains mushroom, bell pepper, loaded cream, and sundried tomato. Perfect for savory appetizers!
Drinks
Compliment your food with some very thought after signature cocktails like:
Popcorn Sour
If you like the classic whiskey sour, this drink is yours for the making year-round. Made of Bourbon, lemon, and caramel popcorn.
White Pearl
This opulent Vodka based drink contains truffle oil, lemon, and orange.
Between the Sheets
What can you expect in between the sheets? Well, classic flavors of Rum, raspberry, lemon, and kaffir lime.
Jalapeno Margarita
Couldn't have asked for a better drink. Made of Tequila, jalapeno, lemon, and triple sec.
Besides food and drinks, the elegant yet relaxed interiors at BED allow you to unwind almost instantly. The space has been designed by a well-known architect Abhigyan Neogi who fuses modern culture into his choice of decor and design. Abhigyan graduated from the TVB School of Habitat Studies, New Delhi in 2008 and has completed projects for Cyber Hub Social in Gurgaon, Capsule, by Hinglish at Hauz Khas Village, Prankster in Gurgaon, and an international residential project in the UK.
Expect a plethora of seating spaces at BED including standing tables, tri-seaters and booth seating.
The upper floor's outer area has Middle Eastern influences with wide furniture setting similar to a composite bed with extra ordinate focus lighting. The furniture - made at Alankaram Delhi - aims to add variety, offers comfort, and adds to the attractiveness of the interiors at BED.
BED not only offers an extraordinary ambiance but also manages to put its best foot forward in terms of music. The in-house music is a unique blend of Reggae, Hip-Hop Trap, EDM, and Future Bass. Get dancing to the beats of DJ Bass Flex, a Delhi-based music producer and performer whose real name is Kaushal Khandelwal.
Suffice to say, BED successfully weaves an epicurean story through its wholesome, lavish setting. Can't wait to pay a visit again!

The atmosphere of a restaurant can make or break it for me. The food that they served looks so delicious. The Bacon Wrapped Chicken almost look too delicious to eat.
