In this blog post, I cover a new restaurant in Eros City Square Mall, Sector 49, Gurugram called The Société.
The good thing about living in a satellite city like Gurugram is that there are innumerable dining options to choose from.
Just last week only, a friend had made a recommendation about a new restaurant in Sector 49 called The Société. According to him, this restaurant offered the perfect amalgamation of fine dine and modern bar.
I have, at least to the best of my knowledge, never seen my friend get this excited about any other local restaurant ... and he knows the dining sector like no other!
To check out what the buzz was all about, I made a rather hurried appointment for a quick lunch the very next day itself.
Here's the inside scoop on what makes this property tick. But first I've got to admit ... The Société made a very good first impression on me; the service staff was polite and prompt, the vibe was super lit.
For the uninitiated, The Société is a French word which depicts the society. A refreshing new approach to how our society currently dines and entertains themselves.
The beautiful and well thought interiors captures your soul at the first glance. A contrast of bright and subtle hues and clean and chic aesthetics, covering 2000 sq ft area with a sit down capacity of 125 guests along with a 20-seater, private dining area.
It reminded me of a cozy coffee place by the day which completely transforms into an intimate and chivalrous hangout by the night.
What differentiates this relatively new entrant from the horde of other restaurants thriving in the same neighborhood is the lil attention to details, right from the word go! In its quest to become a force to reckon with, The Société focuses on the use of the finest ingredients, fusion food, and stellar plating.
The Société is the brainchild of restaurateurs, Avantika Dhakre, Amit Chauhan, and Praveen Nayyar.
After a successful long run in the Nightlife sector, with the baby Capitol in its laps, Praveen has now ventured out to the Dining sector.
Chef Bharat Sharma is at the helm of affairs in the kitchen, churning out popular Persian influenced dishes like the Chelow Kebab, Adana Kebab, and Iranian Mahi Kebab, not to forget the best fusion fare that'll keep you coming back for more!
My favorite dishes were the Chicken Tikka Golgappas and Chicken Harissa made with Pita bread dough.
For drinks, I recommend the Guava Mary mocktail and the Jack Daniel's Sour (a. k. a. JD Sour), made by the very talented Pratap, who is also the Bar Manager.
In any case, you will love everything about the all-day menu here.
To add an element of creativity, the live kitchen concept has been introduced at the restaurant. See your favorite fusion dishes made in front of your eyes; if you're lucky, you may even strike a rapport with the chef and learn some of his secret recipes.
Bringing together the choicest gourmet dishes, extensive cocktail menu, and spectacular events like Comedy Nights, The Société offers more than 300 covers including lounge and alfresco seating, which is fantastic, to say the least!
A meal for two here costs about INR 500 to 600 inclusive of all taxes (yes, you heard it!). Open all days of the week from 12 noon to 12 in the night, the restaurant also provides home catering service for special events.
The Société is coming up with an annual membership plan for its loyal customers, wherein you just need to pay INR 10,000 once every year and you will be entitled to 10 vouchers redeemable anytime of the year at the restaurant. Once enrolled in this plan, you will also receive a wine bottle and a customized cake on your anniversary and birthday. Isn't that great!
A gourmet menu selection, contemporary decor, and impeccable hospitality await you. If you wish to experience the best in luxury, ultimate dining if I may add, The Société is the place for you!
