The Modernized Punjabi Delights at Punjab Grill Will Knock Your Socks Off!

In this blog post, I cover the modernized Punjabi delights at Punjab Grill, Khan Market.

Did you know that Punjab Grill is one of the best fine dine North Indian Restaurant in the country? The brainchild of veterans Amit Burman and Rohit Aggarwal, Punjab Grill has withstood the test of time, delivering uncompromising quality of food since 2001.

A couple of months ago, I visited Punjab Grill on the insistence of a friend who just could not stop raving about the royal recipes served on her table.

Elevating the gastronomic history and culinary diversity of the Royal State of undivided Punjab, the new menu was a contemporary spin on the classic Punjabi cuisine. It offered me a unique glimpse into the grandeur of the region, just the way that I had imagined!

Blending customary ideals and modernity in a platter, the new menu effortlessly described the royal generosity, making it a truly unforgettable experience in every way.

The lavish Maharaja Thali was a revelation; Tandoori Guchchi, Salmon Tikka, Chaap Tajdar, Haleem, Saffron Pulao, and Ras Malai, all in one Thali. Curated by the ardent master chefs of Punjab Grill, the thali was a time travel through an era spangled with glory and grandeur.

Taking modernization to another level was the special 'Shikaar' menu. New meat cooked every day, served with special Gobindo Bhog Rice which enhances the flavor of the meat. Though the tradition of game hunt - a royal pastime of the Maharajas - has faded away, you would not want to miss the scrumptious 'Shikaar of the Day' at the restaurant.

The new menu is inspired by the famous five cities of Punjab - Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Moga, and Patiala. Ambarsari Kulcha, for one, reminded me of the narrow bylanes of Amritsar, where I would meander, often looking for gobsmacking food.

An endeavor by Lite Bite Foods, Punjab Grill is also hailed for serving Mutton Achar Kulcha, Kaladi Cheese Kulcha, Malai Masala, Bhadarwah Rajmah, Dal Punjab Grill, and Murabba. Your experience will remain incomplete without tasting the Kathal Kofta, Tamatar Chaat, Kasaundi Broccoli, Tawa Tiger Prawn, and Haak Saag.

The special desserts by The Artful Baker are perfectly curated to make sure your experience ends on a sweet note. Savor the Warm Apple Tart with Kulfi and Pistachio Crumble, Dark Chocolate Cake with Cardamom Ganache and Pistachio Ice Cream, and Vanilla-Bean Panna Cota with Roseberry Compote and Homemade Panjiri.

With beats of traditional Punjabi folk music playing in the background, Punjab Grill made a compelling case for yet another visit. I simply cannot wait for the lock down to be over!

  9. They say before we actually taste food, we eat with eyes. That's why presentation matters. This place has perfected that skill for sure.
