In this blog post, I write about Indian Alchemy, a new delivery-only brand in Gurugram whose endeavor to showcase a modernist, unique and eccentric approach to Indian food is winning hearts everywhere.
Want to indulge in the best of Indian cuisine at the comfort of your home? If you live or work in Gurugram, you're in for a treat … Indian Alchemy is here to tantalize your taste buds with an exceptionally well-curated menu. The new delivery startup celebrates Indian flavors through cherished family recipes handed down through generations.
Lal Mirch Murgh Tikka |
The brainchild of the father-daughter duo, Atul Celly and Jhanvi Celly Saxena, Indian Alchemy makes a lasting first impression by redefining culinary innovation, without ever trying to compromise on flavors. The brand epitomizes the ethos of creative foodpreneurs trying to pass on their legacy while finding their space in an already niche ecosystem.
Nizami Chicken Biryani |
Hailing from the Kayastha community, Jhanvi's maternal grandfather was no stranger to the culinary culture of Purani Dilli. Known for hosting extravagant family do's, the recipes cooked by him always took the center stage. He later converted his passion for cooking into a successful catering business by the name of Platinum Hospitality.
[For the uninitiated, Platinum Hospitality is an already established name in corporate and outdoor catering for more than three decades.]
Over the years, his cooking style and recipes were handed down within the family. Through Indian Alchemy, Jhanvi hopes to bring alive the same nostalgia of flavors and aromas that once filled her grandfather's kitchen with love and admiration. The food promises to satiate both your hunger and soul and notwithstanding the brand's newness, Jhanvi's passion for sharing deep-rooted, traditional recipes comes across clearly.
Lucknowi Nihari |
With signature dishes such as the Mutton Kofta, Galawati Kebab, Mutton Kakori with Mughlai Paratha, and Lucknowi Nihari, Indian Alchemy's menu also contains classics such as Tulsi Paneer Tikka, Red Quinoa Dahi Kibbeh, Pulled Chicken Tikka and Tandoori Brie Flatbread, The Alchemist Special Kayastha Mutton Kofta, Tandoori Chettinad Prawns, and much more.
It is heartening to see that conscious sustainability is at the heart of Indian Alchemy's core design philosophy and business. The organic ingredients are directly sourced from local farmers. Earthen pots produced by a cooperative society of potters in Khurja are used for curries and biryani preparations. The packaging is chic yet eco-friendly.
Dal Makhani |
The brand has implemented rigorous safety and hygiene measures in place, with mandatory use of personal protective gear and regular temperature checks for riders, kitchen sanitization multiple times a day, two-step washing of produce, a kitchen based on HACCP module, and collaboration with FSSAI certified food handlers only. Zomato and Swiggy are the brand's main delivery partners in Gurugram.
