As a brand, Dana Choga has served people in Delhi NCR with signature North Indian dishes for over three decades. Who would believe they have 14 outlets in the region alone!
Moving on to the food, Dana Choga offers a diverse menu featuring a variety of dishes from different cuisines. The restaurant specializes in North Indian and Mughlai cuisine. Its newly curated Pan Indian menu celebrates the diverse flavors from various regions across the country, complemented by cherished signature favorites. Whether you crave the authentic flavors of Punjab, the indigenous spices of Bihar, or the coastal delicacies of South India, Dana Choga has something to satisfy every palate.
Their new menu has an All-Day plates section. Expect lighter and Instagram-worthy dishes served on your table, such as the Khakhra Pizza, Bhopali Chicken Taco, and Kerala Chicken Pepper Fry.
Thanks to Chef Chanchal Datta, who is at the helm of things brewing inside their kitchen, I had the opportunity to try their Chicken Chatkara and Signature Dal Makhani, which were rich, flavorful, and made to perfection. The use of fresh ingredients was evident in every bite. The spices were well-balanced, enhancing the overall taste.
What Are My Top Recommendations
My top recommendations at Dana Choga include:
Kerala Chicken Pepper Fry
A fragrant and flavorful dish that brings together curry leaf-infused chicken, a fluffy omelet, and steamed Malabari paratha served on a banana leaf. It showcases the essence of Kerala's cuisine in a tantalizing combination of spices and textures.
Chettinad Bajra Tacos
A fusion dish that brings together the bold and spicy flavors of Chettinad cuisine with the fun and portable nature of tacos. The Chettinad Bajra Tacos feature a filling of spiced paneer or mushroom, accompanied by tandoori spread and sour cream, and garnished with farmer greens for a unique culinary experience.
Signature Dal Makhani
The OG Dal Makhni of Delhi NCR is prepared with a luscious blend of lentils, butter, and aromatic spices, creating a rich and indulgent culinary masterpiece.
Champaran Dum Gosht
Champaran Dum Gosht is a mouthwatering dish from Bihar, India, where succulent mutton is slow-cooked for three hours in a terracotta clay pot with whole garlic cloves and mustard oil. The result is tender meat infused with robust flavor, creating a delightful culinary experience that captures the essence of Champaran.
Gulkand Chocolate Layered Dessert
Experience pure indulgence with the Gulkand Chocolate Layered Dessert. This dessert contains three layers - rich dark chocolate ganache, refreshing lemon-mint mousse, and a delightful crunch from the coriander praline soil. Accompanied by delicate crackers, this dessert is elevated by Gulkand, a sweet rose petal preserve. Prepare for a truly decadent and unforgettable dessert experience.
Chilli Saffron River Trout
A flavorful dish featuring steamed whole river trout wrapped in a banana leaf. The trout is infused with the vibrant flavors of saffron and chili, while a burnt garlic chili salsa adds a smoky and zesty touch. This combination creates a harmonious blend of delicate fish, aromatic spices, and bold condiments.
Baked Paneer Hay-Roll
Baked Paneer Hay-roll is a flavorful dish where paneer, a type of Indian cottage cheese, is stuffed and wrapped in kataifi pastry. It is baked to create a crispy exterior. This fusion dish offers a delightful combination of textures and flavor and is served with tangy raw mango chutney and aromatic lemon balm.

A delicious dessert made with organic millet, cooked in milk until creamy. It is served with a seasonal fruit mix and a mango date kulfi, creating a flavorful and indulgent treat.
